Play Practice~Practice Play: Special Edition – Being in Balance with Aaron Ford

Saturday, March 4, 2023 – 4:00-6:00 pm (BKCM Concert Hall – 58 7th Ave.)

Play Practice~Practice Play has been an ongoing series of workshops curated and facilitated by Sheri Gottlieb. She will lead the opening activity followed by an in depth workshop led by Aaron Ford.

Aaron Ford will be the guest facilitator for this special workshop, intended for music education professionals and students of music education. Please note: this is an adults-only workshop.

Playful body awareness focused dance/movement explorations such as Brain Dance, bean bag pathways, and obstacle courses accompanied by improvised music lead to a greater sense of balance in both stillness and active movement.  Developing balance skills at all ages promotes vestibular function, heightened body awareness and coordination, and leads to aesthetic satisfaction in both creative and functional movement.
