Join BKCM on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 12PM to 6PM for pop-up mini-lessons at the Kid’s Zone, located on Atlantic Avenue between Boerum Place and Smith Street. Come by and try your hand at the tabla, violin and trumpet!

Young Kids Kwanzaa Sing-along Performance at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum (145 Brooklyn Ave, Brooklyn, NY)

The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music is partnering with Brooklyn Children’s Museum to present concerts for your little ones where they will learn songs celebrating the principles of Kwanzaa. These performances are led by Annie Lee Moffett. The performance includes a new piece written by Annie to the poem “Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou. Accompanying Moffett will be Mamiko Watanabe.
Tickets for this event can be found through the Brooklyn Children’s Museum website and are included in the museum ticket. There will be two performances, one in the morning shift from 12:00pm-12:25pm and one in the afternoon from 2:30pm-2:55pm.

PhiloSonia – ReCONNECT I: Opening Night Gala

From October to May, 2021, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will be hosting four programs presented by PhiloSonia. PhiloSonia is an innovative chamber music series designed to create a personal connection between audience members and classical music. ReCONNECT I: Opening Night Gala will feature guest ensemble Carr-Petrova Duo, with Molly Carr on viola and Anna Petrova on piano. The performance will feature works by Florence Price, Clara Schumann, Michelle Ross, Henrique Eisenmann, JP Jofre and Amy Beach. For the full program, click here.

Suzuki Benefit and Practice-A-Thon 2022

Save the Date! The BKCM Suzuki Practice-a-thon 2022: A two-week challenge (February 27 – March 11, 2022) to practice and help raise funds for financial aid, culminating on April 2 with an in-person celebration. All ages, levels, and instruments welcome.
