UPDATE: This event has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 15 at 12pm. It will be held indoors at The Center for Fiction, 15 Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and The Center for Fiction are partnering to create and present a FREE and fun new show featuring interactive music, storytelling and a petting zoo of instruments. The show will be presented for families at the Downtown Brooklyn Arts Festival on Oct. 1st at 12pm. Fun for all ages!

The show will run from 12:00-12:45pm. After that, we’ll be making some musical crafts from 1pm-3pm!

The Author:

The event will feature storyteller and author Areli Morales, who will read from her book “Areli is a Dreamer.” In the first picture book written by a DACA Dreamer, Areli Morales tells her own powerful and vibrant immigration story.

About the Downtown Brooklyn Arts Festival

The Downtown Brooklyn Arts Festival (DBAF) is an annual celebration of Downtown Brooklyn’s cultural community and the Vendors, writers, and performers who inspire the borough’s creative spirit. The 2022 Downtown Brooklyn Arts Festival will take place on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1.
