Join us for Fall Fest 2022 and sample a variety of offerings from our Community Music School (CMS)!
This FREE event will feature free 5-minute sample lessons, meet-and-greets with our world-class faculty, performances, a Music Therapy and Suzuki information booth and more.
Bring the whole family! All ages, experience levels and areas of interest are welcome.
Sign-ups will take place on-site.
Masks are required inside the building at all times.
* Stop by the BKCM Garden earlier in the day, from 1-2pm, and enjoy a performance by our Suzuki string students!

Private Lessons
Ages 6-Adult | Free 5-minute lessons
Private lessons are available for every major instrument including voice. Each student is matched to one of our world-class teachers who prepares an individualized curriculum based on the student’s goals and interests. No audition or experience is required.

Early Childhood Music
Ages 0-4 | BKCM Garden | Free 15-minute sessions
BKCM’s Early Childhood Music offerings are designed to set every young learner on a lifelong musical journey. Classes take place in our spacious, sun-filled concert hall, and our teachers and on-site early childhood specialists are committed to best practices in early childhood music and development.
Instrument Friends
Ages 5-6 | BKCM Concert Hall | Free 10-minute sessions
An engaging introduction to private instruction, our group instrumental classes feature a low student-to-teacher ratio (4 students per class) so that students experience an enriching balance of individual attention and peer support. Students learn essential musical elements and creative activities such as improvisation, composition and interactive musical games that keep them engaged.

OUTDOOR PERFORMANCES ON THE STOOP
Jazz Performance with the BKCM Jazz Faculty | 2-3pm
From jazz standards to contemporary grooves, students and faculty will get the crowd moving!
Bluegrass Performance with the BKCM Bluegrass Faculty | 3-4pm
BKCM students and faculty come together for a jam style performance of vibrant American bluegrass tunes!
CHAMBER PERFORMANCE IN OUR CONCERT HALL
Chamber Performance | 4-5pm
Our fantastic faculty trio will perform a stunning repertoire!

The Omni Ensemble begins their 39th exciting season at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. This performance will feature David Wechsler on flute, Jeff Adler on clarinet, Gil Dejean & Gili Sharett on bassoon, Thomas Verchot & Arda Cabaoglu on trumpet, Johannes Pfannkuch & Chris Olness on trombone, Tony Regusis on piano, Jennifer Vincent on bass, Ray Grappone on drums. Marina Alexander will conduct.
The evening will feature performances of Octet by Igor Stravinsky, Cañon by Cindy Cox, Epistrophy & Round Midnight by Thelonius Monk, Brooklyn Episodes (World Premiere) by Chad Smith and Louie’s Orange Element by David Wechsler.

Suzuki Benefit and Practice-A-Thon 2022

Save the Date! The BKCM Suzuki Practice-a-thon 2022: A two-week challenge (February 27 – March 11, 2022) to practice and help raise funds for financial aid, culminating on April 2 with an in-person celebration. All ages, levels, and instruments welcome.

Holiday Caroling

A beloved Brooklyn Conservatory tradition — holiday caroling! Please join us as we spread cheer throughout the neighborhood, culminating in a reception in our garden. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase in the BKCM Garden as part of a fundraiser for the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale. All ages, voices, faiths welcome.
To prepare, Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale Director Nick Nicassio will help lead the group in a warm-up from 2pm-2:30pm and then split up to wander and carol from 2:30pm-3:30pm. We will divide into separate groups for family music and for four-part madrigals, so there will be something to sing for everyone! The reception in the BKCM Garden will take place from 3:30 – 4:30pm.
