Alexandra Selawsky, soprano and Emile Blondel, piano will perform works of Debussy, Grieg, Quilter, & more in “Forgotten Songs”.

Alexandra Selawsky, soprano, is a graduate of Boston University and Mannes College of Music with degrees in voice and opera. She has performed roles from L’incoronazione di Poppea and Hansel und Gretel with the New York Lyric Opera Theatre, as well as scenes from Falstaff and Cosi fan Tutte with the Savannah Voice Festival. Alexandra has also sung as a section leader and soloist with the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, NJ, in performances of Handel’s Messiah and Martin Palmeri’s Misa a Buenos Aires. She was recently seen in the Libero Canto School’s “Brahms in 3/4 Time” concert, where she performed selections of the Liebeslieder Waltzes. She is a member of the administrative team at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, and is a student of Beth Roberts. Find her on Instagram @alexandraselawsky.


Pianist Emile Blondel collaborates with musicians, dancers and artists of all mediums. He studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts under the guidance of Eric Larsen and in Paris at the Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot. Emile was a recipient of the Kenan Fellowship at Lincoln Center Education which culminated in his performance ‘Folk Roots Remixed’ at Rose Studio Theater. Orchestral appearances include the Richmond Symphony, Durham Symphony and the Heritage Chamber Orchestra. A frequent collaborator in theater, Emile created music for Marcel and Man Ray which premiered in the Puppet Lab Festival at St. Anne`s Warehouse, and Sheep #1 which has been presented at Japan Society, Dixon Place and The Tank NYC. He is currently on the faculty of Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and the Dalton School.
