Holiday Caroling

A beloved Brooklyn Conservatory tradition — holiday caroling! Please join us as we spread cheer throughout the neighborhood, culminating in a reception in our garden. All ages, voices, faiths welcome.
To prepare, the Brooklyn Conservatory will lead a group in a warm-up from 2pm-2:30pm and then split up to wander and carol from 2:30pm-3:30pm. We will divide into separate groups for family music and for four-part madrigals, so there will be something to sing for everyone!
This year we will be updating our lyric books to include new popular tunes and gospel traditional songs written for four-part harmony.
We love to expand our repertoire each year, so if you have a favorite carol or holiday song you want us to include, please feel free to email us at info@bkcm.org and we will try to include it as a part of our packet!
Attending this event is free but we encourage you to RSVP below so we know how many packets to print!

Fabio Rojas is a Drummer/Film Composer and Educator based in NYC, originally from Valencia, Venezuela. On October 15 his quintet will be performing original compositions blending different trends and presenting some modern jazz as part of the new generation of artists, combining elements from the past, and always exploring the future with innovations.

Fabio Rojas is one of 3,000 New York City-based artists to receive $5,000 through the City Artist Corps Grants program, presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre. This concert will be part of the award program.

PhiloSonia – ReCONNECT I: Opening Night Gala

From October to May, 2021, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will be hosting four programs presented by PhiloSonia. PhiloSonia is an innovative chamber music series designed to create a personal connection between audience members and classical music. ReCONNECT I: Opening Night Gala will feature guest ensemble Carr-Petrova Duo, with Molly Carr on viola and Anna Petrova on piano. The performance will feature works by Florence Price, Clara Schumann, Michelle Ross, Henrique Eisenmann, JP Jofre and Amy Beach. For the full program, click here.

Save the Date! The BKCM Suzuki Practice-a-thon 2022: A two-week challenge (February 27 – March 11, 2022) to practice and help raise funds for financial aid, culminating on April 2 with an in-person celebration. All ages, levels, and instruments welcome.
