All are welcome to this community celebration of Juneteenth! This event will take place in partnership with the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Friends of Brower Park, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, Friends of Brower Park Library, Brooklyn United Music and Arts Program, Crown Heights North Association, Brooklyn Community Board 8, A Labor of Love ElderCare, Harvest Home Farmers Market, Brooklyn Music School and Brooklyn Book Bodega.
All are welcome to this free event. Tickets are not required to attend. Please RSVP to show your interest and receive the most up-to-date information about the event.

Music therapists are invited to this virtual CMTE workshop presented by licensed creative arts therapist and certified Nordoff-Robbins music therapist David Herman (MA, LCAT, NRMT). Participants will be guided through one-finger, two-finger, and three-finger improvisation exercises and will be led as a group in modal playing using the ‘Shape Shifting’ technique.

The OMNI Ensemble

The Omni Ensemble begins their 39th exciting season at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. This performance will feature David Wechsler on flute, Jeff Adler on clarinet, Gil Dejean & Gili Sharett on bassoon, Thomas Verchot & Arda Cabaoglu on trumpet, Johannes Pfannkuch & Chris Olness on trombone, Tony Regusis on piano, Jennifer Vincent on bass, Ray Grappone on drums. Marina Alexander will conduct.
The evening will feature performances of Octet by Igor Stravinsky, Cañon by Cindy Cox, Epistrophy & Round Midnight by Thelonius Monk, Brooklyn Episodes (World Premiere) by Chad Smith and Louie’s Orange Element by David Wechsler.

Join BKCM on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 12PM to 6PM for pop-up mini-lessons at the Kid’s Zone, located on Atlantic Avenue between Boerum Place and Smith Street. Come by and try your hand at the tabla, violin and trumpet!
