Join BKCM for a Free Acoustic Klezmer Jam!
Take the first Klezmer class of the fall semester as a trial and jam with some amazing Klezmer musicians! Hosted by Ira Temple, our Klezmer Ensemble Leader, the jam welcomes all levels–from beginner to advanced.
Description
Bring your instrument! Strings, winds, brass, percussion and accordion players (ages 12 and up) are welcome.

Holiday Caroling

A beloved Brooklyn Conservatory tradition — holiday caroling! Please join us as we spread cheer throughout the neighborhood, culminating in a reception in our garden. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase in the BKCM Garden as part of a fundraiser for the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale. All ages, voices, faiths welcome.
To prepare, Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale Director Nick Nicassio will help lead the group in a warm-up from 2pm-2:30pm and then split up to wander and carol from 2:30pm-3:30pm. We will divide into separate groups for family music and for four-part madrigals, so there will be something to sing for everyone! The reception in the BKCM Garden will take place from 3:30 – 4:30pm. Save the Date! The BKCM Suzuki Practice-a-thon 2022: A two-week challenge (February 27 – March 11, 2022) to practice and help raise funds for financial aid, culminating on April 2 with an in-person celebration. All ages, levels, and instruments welcome.
