Meet the Guitar will be a fun and interactive program for all ages; this program is perfect for beginner music students.
The event will include a short performance, an interactive portion, a Q&A and an instrument petting zoo!
Tickets are FREE! Capacity is limited, so RSVP while tickets last. An RSVP is valid for 1 child and up to 2 adults.

Connection Works, a leader in artist-run organizations, presents the critically acclaimed music series Wide Open Works, now in it’s 15th season. WORKS is the driving force behind the vibrant nonprofit organization Connection Works. This group has exploited its unique instrumentation of flute, piano and drums to forge a distinct and powerful musical voice, putting the “focus on the dynamic writing and deep simpatico of the trio itself” (The Village Voice). WORKS features Michel Gentile on flute, Daniel Kelly on piano, and Rob Garcia on drums.
Tickets will be sold at the door. Admission will cost $15.
This event will have an in-person audience and will be live-streamed.

Park Slope’s beloved Halloween Parade has been canceled for this Saturday, October 30. They will still be doing some of the programming on Sunday, but BKCM Community Brass Band will not be in attendance.

Young Kids Kwanzaa Sing-along Performance at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum (145 Brooklyn Ave, Brooklyn, NY)

The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music is partnering with Brooklyn Children’s Museum to present concerts for your little ones where they will learn songs celebrating the principles of Kwanzaa. These performances are led by Annie Lee Moffett. The performance includes a new piece written by Annie to the poem “Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou. Accompanying Moffett will be Mamiko Watanabe.
Tickets for this event can be found through the Brooklyn Children’s Museum website and are included in the museum ticket. There will be two performances, one in the morning shift from 12:00pm-12:25pm and one in the afternoon from 2:30pm-2:55pm.
*In light of recent health and safety developments, please call the Brooklyn Children’s Museum on the day of 12/27 to confirm that the event is happening.*
