The Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale in Concert presents the Misa Criolla and other music of Latin America

The Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale will be performing Ariel Ramírez’s Misa Criolla.
The Chorale will also be performing choral arrangements of folk music from Latin America and music influenced by folk music of Latin America. For this concert, the BCC is collaborating with musicians who specialize in Andean folk traditions, including the ensemble Inkarayku, who will be performing on instruments from the Andes. Led by founder Andres Jimenez, Inkarayku seeks to link the past, present and future of Andean arts.

From October to May, 2021, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will be hosting four programs presented by PhiloSonia. PhiloSonia is an innovative chamber music series designed to create a personal connection between audience members and classical music.
ReCONNECT II: Together will feature performances by Stani Dimitrova (violin), Ani Kalayjian (cello) and Philip Fisher (piano). The evening will feature works by J. Haydn, William Grant Still, Gayane Chebotaryan, Jennifer Higdon, Reena Esmail and Amy Beach. The evening is being presented in collaboration with LYRICA Chamber Music.

Holiday Caroling

A beloved Brooklyn Conservatory tradition — holiday caroling! Please join us as we spread cheer throughout the neighborhood, culminating in a reception in our garden. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase in the BKCM Garden as part of a fundraiser for the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale. All ages, voices, faiths welcome.
To prepare, Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale Director Nick Nicassio will help lead the group in a warm-up from 2pm-2:30pm and then split up to wander and carol from 2:30pm-3:30pm. We will divide into separate groups for family music and for four-part madrigals, so there will be something to sing for everyone! The reception in the BKCM Garden will take place from 3:30 – 4:30pm.
