Play Practice – Practice Play (Virtual Workshop – Part 2)

Play Practice – Practice Play (Virtual Workshop – Part 2)

Wednesday, March 16, 2022 – 6:30-7:30pm

This unique series of workshops is an opportunity for early childhood and elementary music educators to build their repertoire and develop skills in the field. Social-emotional content will be an integral focus as we return to in-person teaching. Workshops are $25 each.

The workshops will provide materials and emotional support for educators looking for additional re-sources and communication with their peers.  Educators will learn a variety of songs from around the world to enrich their own teaching. Participants are encouraged to use this learning and try new ideas in their own classrooms. We will gather together to share these experiences in a joyful and supportive setting.

Workshops are led by distinguished Early Childhood music educator Sheri Gottlieb, Associate Director of the Music Partners Program and CMS Early Childhood Specialist at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. Sheri is Past President of the NYC Chapter AOSA and has served on the board of NYC Arts in Education Roundtable. She is co-author of “Melodic Weavings – A Soprano Recorder Approach for Teachers.” Her article on Music and Urban Education appears in The Orff Echo.
