From October to May, 2021, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will be hosting four programs presented by PhiloSonia. PhiloSonia is an innovative chamber music series designed to create a personal connection between audience members and classical music.
ReCONNECT II: Together will feature performances by Stani Dimitrova (violin), Ani Kalayjian (cello) and Philip Fisher (piano). The evening will feature works by J. Haydn, William Grant Still, Gayane Chebotaryan, Jennifer Higdon, Reena Esmail and Amy Beach. The evening is being presented in collaboration with LYRICA Chamber Music.

Shape Shifting: CMTE Virtual Guitar Workshop
Sunday, December 12, 2021, 11am-2pm
Music therapists are invited to this virtual CMTE workshop presented by licensed creative arts therapist and certified Nordoff-Robbins music therapist David Herman (MA, LCAT, NRMT). Participants will be guided through one-finger, two-finger, and three-finger improvisation exercises and will be led as a group in modal playing using the ‘Shape Shifting’ technique.

The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music hosts a Halloween event for the whole family! Join us outside of our building for a spine-chilling performance from a BKCM faculty string quartet, a haunted musical garden and, of course, candy!
The string quartet will feature Ali Kang and Jennifer Axelson (violins), Brian Thompson (viola) and Jenna Girone-Virgilio (cello).
