BKCM Pop-up Mini Lessons at Seventh Heaven Street Fair

BKCM will host free mini-lessons in piano and drums on Sunday, June 19 at the Seventh Heaven Street Fair. Come visit us on the corner of Berkeley and 7th Avenue from 11am to 2pm.
The Seventh Heaven Street Fair is an annual street fair in Park Slope sponsored by the Park Slope 7th Ave Chamber of Commerce. The festival takes place along 7th Ave, between Flatbush Ave & 18th St.

The string quartet will feature Ali Kang and Jennifer Axelson (violins), Brian Thompson (viola) and Jenna Girone-Virgilio (cello).

PhiloSonia Concert

From October to May, 2021, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will be hosting four programs presented by PhiloSonia. PhiloSonia is an innovative chamber music series designed to create a personal connection between audience members and classical music.
ReCONNECT II: Together will feature performances by Stani Dimitrova (violin), Ani Kalayjian (cello) and Philip Fisher (piano). The evening will feature works by J. Haydn, William Grant Still, Gayane Chebotaryan, Jennifer Higdon, Reena Esmail and Amy Beach. The evening is being presented in collaboration with LYRICA Chamber Music.

Fabio Rojas Quintet

Fabio Rojas is a Drummer/Film Composer and Educator based in NYC, originally from Valencia, Venezuela. On October 15 his quintet will be performing original compositions blending different trends and presenting some modern jazz as part of the new generation of artists, combining elements from the past, and always exploring the future with innovations.
This performance will feature Greg Osby on alto sax, Kevin Harris on piano, Gustavo D’Amico on tenor sax, Fabio Rojas on the drums, and Osmar Okuma on bass, which will make this concert an exhilarating and exploratory experience for the public. www.FabioRojasMusic.com
Fabio Rojas is one of 3,000 New York City-based artists to receive $5,000 through the City Artist Corps Grants program, presented by The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), with support from the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) as well as Queens Theatre. This concert will be part of the award program.
