The New York State Task Force on Occupational Regulation of the Mid-Atlantic Region of AMTA

is pleased to present A Dialogue on Current and Future Music Therapy Practice in NYS


Many factors impact the practice of music therapy in New York State, including the Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), the effort to create an authentic music therapy license, and changes in education and training criteria in response to legislative and regulatory requirements. This workshop will provide a detailed overview of the process of applying for the LCAT, requirements to maintain current registration, and an exploration of the future of music therapy practice in NYS.  Details on the upcoming Hill Day in Albany on March 25, 2019, will be shared.
