PhiloSonia Concert
Saturday, December 4 – 7:30 pm
From October to May, 2021, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will be hosting four programs presented by PhiloSonia. PhiloSonia is an innovative chamber music series designed to create a personal connection between audience members and classical music.
ReCONNECT II: Together will feature performances by Stani Dimitrova (violin), Ani Kalayjian (cello) and Philip Fisher (piano). The evening will feature works by J. Haydn, William Grant Still, Gayane Chebotaryan, Jennifer Higdon, Reena Esmail and Amy Beach. The evening is being presented in collaboration with LYRICA Chamber Music.

PhiloSonia presents “CONTRASTS III: Joy & Sorrow”
Saturday, December 17, 2022 — 7:30 p.m.
In this next program, PhiloSonia will explore the joy we often associate with the holidays, and its contrasting emotion, sorrow, as captured through music.
The program will feature Trio élégiaque No. 1 in G Minor (S Rachmaninoff), Oblivion for Piano Trio (A. Piazzolla), Elegy for Piano trio (J. Suk), Peace for violin and piano (Jessie Montgomery) and Piano Quartet E flat major, Op. 47 (R. Schumann).
The concert will feature performances by Stanichka Dimitrova (violin), Chieh-Fan Yiu (viola), Michael Katz (cello), and Nana Shi (piano).
