Reopening Town Hall: Suzuki Program

We are hosting a series of town halls to give you more insight into this decision, and how we envision resuming in-person classes. For those unable to join us at a town hall, we will circulate presentation materials to help everyone understand the unique challenges and virtues of reopening our building.

Shape Shifting: CMTE Virtual Guitar Workshop
Sunday, December 12, 2021, 11am-2pm
Music therapists are invited to this virtual CMTE workshop presented by licensed creative arts therapist and certified Nordoff-Robbins music therapist David Herman (MA, LCAT, NRMT). Participants will be guided through one-finger, two-finger, and three-finger improvisation exercises and will be led as a group in modal playing using the ‘Shape Shifting’ technique.

Petra and Wolfie Returns! Join the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra for a zany family concert featuring the Conservatory’s 65 member orchestra, hilarious comic actors Lorinne Lampert and Francis Heaney, music videos, songs, and a monster! Featuring music from: Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and some of your favorite pop tunes! Museum admission is included with concert ticket purchase. Please note that there are two showtimes, 1pm and 3:30pm, when you are purchasing your tickets. Tickets are not required for children under the age of 2.The Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra is a passionate and diverse group of dedicated amateur and professional musicians that performs the great masterpieces of the orchestral repertoire to contemporary works by living composers. Now in its 21st year, the ensemble is composed of players from all walks of life, from your child’s middle school art teacher to a law professor or your local barista. The BCCO presents four to six concerts each year. -
Suzuki Benefit and Practice-A-Thon 2022

Save the Date! The BKCM Suzuki Practice-a-thon 2022: A two-week challenge (February 27 – March 11, 2022) to practice and help raise funds for financial aid, culminating on April 2 with an in-person celebration. All ages, levels, and instruments welcome.
