Now in its 17th season, this dynamic 50-plus member choir performs a rich variety of musical styles, both a cappella and with a variety of instrumental accompaniments. Conducted by Dr. Nicholas Nicassio, this ensemble meets on Monday evenings and performs two to three concerts per season in Brooklyn.
At this concert, the Chorale will present Mozart’s Requiem, featuring the chorus, soloists, and a chamber orchestra composed of BKCM faculty members and members of the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra (director Dorothy Savitch). The program will highlight songs of renewal and assurance, with diverse selections ranging from Billy Joel’s “Lullaby” to the traditional “Ani ma’amin.”
