Join One Breath Rising on Sunday, July 10 with live jazz by the Jay Rodriguez Trio, and readings by Brooklyn poets Robert Gibbons, Angela Lockhart-Aronoff, Cheryl Boyce-Taylor and Mervyn Taylor as we celebrate the upcoming publication of At the Crossroads: The One Breath Rising Anthology of Poetry and Prose.
Reception at 3:00 pm, Event starts at 4:00 pm. General admission costs $20. This event will also be live streamed.

The Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra presents Beethoven Symphony no. 7.
Join the BCCO for a performance of Beethoven’s most vibrant symphony! The program opens with George Walker’s exquisite “Lyric for Strings” (1946). The concert will take place at St Ann and the Holy Trinity Church, 157 Montague St, Brooklyn, NY.

Ben Tweel in Concert at BKCM

Brooklyn musician and BKCM Suzuki parent Ben Tweel performs live music from his recent album “Bring in the Lampstand and Light Its Lamps.” The music is an exploration of family through sound, rendered as atmospheric electroacoustic music through live and processed instruments. Woven through the compositions are bits of his children’s (BKCM) music lessons and their own musical explorations.
