Assemble Against Hate
March 21, 11:00am – 2:00pm, 4:00pm – 5:00pm
BKCM stands in solidarity with the diverse Asian communities throughout Brooklyn and across the nation against the outrageous and deplorable ongoing acts of violence and racism against Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.
We invite you to meet this moment with us at a family sign-making event in the garden followed by a musical assembly in Grand Army Plaza. These gatherings are intended to be safe spaces to connect, reflect and express support for our AANHPI communities.

At the Crossroads Book Party

Join One Breath Rising on Sunday, July 10 with live jazz by the Jay Rodriguez Trio, and readings by Brooklyn poets Robert Gibbons, Angela Lockhart-Aronoff, Cheryl Boyce-Taylor and Mervyn Taylor as we celebrate the upcoming publication of At the Crossroads: The One Breath Rising Anthology of Poetry and Prose.
Reception at 3:00 pm, Event starts at 4:00 pm. General admission costs $20. This event will also be live streamed.
