Florence Hutner

Florence Hutner is the General Counsel for the NYC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. For more than 25 years she has worked for the city in various capacities, including Deputy Commissioner for the New York City Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence, Senior Counsel in the Law Department, and General Counsel for the Department of Correction and the Department of Probation. Florence’s prior nonprofit board experience includes serving as trustee and president of the Long Island Soundkeeper Fund and, more recently, of the Park Slope Jewish Center, where she participated in leading a strategic planning process and significant building renovations. Florence and her family live in Park Slope and are longtime avid amateur musicians and members of the Conservatory community, through the Conservatory teen brass group, the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra, and the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale, in which Florence sings soprano.
