Frances Brodeur was born in Massachusetts and studied flute at the Boston Conservatory of Music and Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music where she earned her Bachelor of Music. She is currently completing a M.A. at Queens College. Frances freelances throughout the NY city area and has performed with numerous distinguished regional orchestras including The Bronx Symphony, Hunter Symphony, N.J. City University Orchestra and The Brooklyn Strings Orchestra.
Ms. Brodeur has successfully prepared many students to audition at various schools in the area, such as Mark Twain, La Guardia H.S. and Edward R. Murrow H.S. She currently has two students at La Guardia H.S. for the Arts and one plays with the N.Y. Youth Symphony. She can and has also successfully prepared students for college auditions.
