Kathy Price

Based in Park Slope, Kathy Park Price is a community advocate.  She is a co-vice president of CEC15, which serves the public school students and families of school district 15 in Brooklyn, and is also a board member of Brooklyn Community Board 6 and the CB6’s chair of Human Services.  Kathy’s professional background is in public relations, and she has held senior communications roles at The New York Times, CNN and Harper’s Magazine.  Kathy received her MBA in Marketing from Fordham University and her B.A. in Political Science from Emory University.  Kathy grew up in Atlanta and has lived in New York City since 1996.  She enthusiastically played the flute for three years in middle school band and never planned to play again.  BKCM inspired Kathy to learn flute again 30 years later when her son loved his private piano lessons at the Conservatory.
