Madeleine Davidson

Managing Director

Madeleine Allaire Davidson holds an M.P.A. specializing in Nonprofit Management from Baruch College School of Public Affairs, and a B.M. in Classical Guitar Performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Her previous roles at the Conservatory include Suzuki Guitar Faculty, Executive Assistant, Human Resources Manager, Suzuki Theory Coordinator and Assistant to the Director.

Madeleine began her guitar studies at the age of eight, studying Suzuki guitar with Jamie Williams-Grossman. Her primary teacher at Manhattan School of Music was Mark Delpriora. Madeleine has attended the Aspen Music Festival, Domaine Forget Music Academy, and National Guitar Workshop, (where she was also a teaching assistant intern), and has participated in masterclasses given by Aniello Desiderio, Pavel Steidl, Sharon Isbin, Denis Azabagic, and Bruce Holzman, among others.

Madeleine has taught for the BKCM Suzuki Department since 2010, and has completed Suzuki teacher training in Guitar Books 1-4 with partial scholarship from the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She attended Music Mind Games training for Units I and II with Michiko Yurko, and was a recipient of the Brooklyn Conservatory’s Knutson Faculty Development Grant. She was on the Suzuki Guitar Faculty at the Lucy Moses School at the Kaufman Center from 2010-2016, and was on faculty at the Great Neck Conservatory of Music as well as being a regular substitute at the 92nd Street Y School of Music, the Newark School for the Arts and the Bronx Community College School of Music.

While at Baruch College School of Public Affairs, Madeleine received a Hearst fellowship in Nonprofit Management, a Hagedorn merit scholarship, and the Kalina M. Bichova MPA ‘05 Award for outstanding academic achievement in the non profit management specialization track. Madeleine is a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha honors society for public affairs, and the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Madeleine is also currently the Vice President of the Board of Directors of Music Beyond, a nonprofit that trains self taught musicians in the Democratic Republic of Congo to become music teachers.

Madeleine lives in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn with her corgi Jack Donaghy.
