Welcome to our new registrar Ryan James Monroe

Stop by and say hello to our new registrar Ryan James Monroe, who will be manning the registrar’s desk under the guidance of Fatima Jihada, head registrar.   Ryan is a recent graduate of Elon University where he earned a B.F.A. in Music Theatre and a B.A. in Arts Administration with a minor in Business Administration. Originally from Saint Petersburg, Florida, Ryan is very excited to start a new chapter of his life in New York City. As a classically trained singer and actor, Ryan has been seen performing across the country in such roles as The Phantom in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Andrew Carnes in OKLAHOMA, Father in CHILDREN OF EDEN, JP Morgan in RAGTIME, and King Duncan in MACBETH to name a select few. Internationally,Ryan studied classical voice in Florence, Italy where he was also seen performing with a Jazz band throughout the city. Throughout college, Ryan worked as the Artistic Director of Renegade Productions where he produced over ten student written, directed and performed works such as a new theatrical movement, BROADWAY SPEAKS OUT, which spreads awareness about eating disorders in the artistic field – this project raised over $15,000 for the National Eating Disorder Association. As a director, Ryan has produced and directed shows such as THE LARAMIE PROJECT, MANUSCRIPT, and RED. Since Ryan moved to New York to work as a performer, director and an arts administrator in the non-profit sector, he couldn’t be more excited to begin his professional career working at The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
