Mr. Arce has achieved widespread recognition throughout South America, working consistently at the highest levels of music in Argentina. When he was 14, he got interested in Jazz, Tango and classical music so he started playing the upright bass because it is an essential instrument in these styles of music. At 17 years old he embarked on a professional career while attending Escuela de Música Contemporanea (EMC) – Berklee International Network (BIN), where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Music. While ending his studies at EMC – BIN, Mr. Arce won a fierce national competition to study in the prestigious Jazz – Degree of Manuel de Falla Conservatory. This institution is known for being the cradle of the music stars of the future. As Mr. Arce was living in Buenos Aires he used to perform with the masters of the field such as Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Pepi Taveira and Manuel Fraga, only to name a few. For many years now, Mr. Arce has been consistently and uninterruptedly working at the highest level of music in South America and nowadays, despite moving to New York very recently, he is already an in-demand bassist in the city music scene.
