Suzuki Prospective Family Orientation – February 8

Description

Sunday, February 8 • 5:45-7:15 PM • BKCM Concert Hall

Enrollment for the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music’s Suzuki Program happens on an annual basis, and the first step in every new Suzuki family’s musical journey is signing up for a required Parent Orientation in the winter of the year before you plan to enroll.

The orientation will take place in person in the Conservatory’s Concert Hall at 58 Seventh Ave, Brooklyn. The Suzuki Program director will give a 90-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A at the end.

Kids are why we are here! However, this orientation is only for adults. Please note: We encourage you to register early for your preferred orientation date because available spots decrease for each subsequent session. Please only register for the one orientation you plan on attending, and do not register for all three orientations to hold a place. Register only once per family, even if multiple family members are planning on attending. If you find you are unable to attend, please email gideon.forbes@bkcm.org so we can make the space available for others.

If you cannot make this time, we also have another orientation for prospective families this spring, which also runs from 5:45-7:15 pm!

After attending an orientation, families will schedule an intake interview and observation days where they get to see Suzuki lessons and group classes in action. In order to be eligible for our program, caregivers must arrive on time and plan to stay for the entire orientation. Registration for the program will start in June.

If you would like to sign up for an orientation date that is already full, please email gideon.forbes@bkcm.org to be placed on a waitlist. The orientation is completely free, but space is limited and registration ahead of time is required.
