Havovi and moved from Ohio to Brooklyn in 2020 to pursue music therapy. She received my BA in Music and Psychology from Ohio State University, where she spent most of her time in the marching band (C row!) and the jazz department. She got her M.A. in Music Therapy from New York University, and stayed on to receive her Level 1 Nordoff-Robbins certification post-master’s. She is also an aspiring jazz flute and trumpet player, and seeks out opportunities to grow in this area in NYC. Recently, she also began studying Indian classical music to better understand and connect with her cultural identity.
In addition to practicing music therapy, she runs a private music studio with her partner, where they teach dozens of students each week. She is very passionate about balancing a career in music therapy, music education and performance. She values music so much, and is grateful to be able to blend together so many of my passions and goals into one enriching professional life!
