Kate Riley, institutional giving manager, leads BKCM’s grant writing and reporting efforts. She brings to BKCM 20 years of fundraising experience sharing stories of youth, women, and families in New York City and Los Angeles. Most recently, she was part of the fundraising team at the National Guild for Community Arts Education and, prior to that, at Children’s Aid’s renowned Carrera Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program, the YWCA of the City of New York, Osborne Association, and Challengers Club of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles. A native (and one-term elected official) of Middletown, CT, she received a History degree from Wesleyan University, where she co-founded its first comedy improv troupe. Today, she is the proud Girls Write Now mentor of a wildly talented young writer, a member of the New York Blood Center Gallon Club, and half of an amateur songwriting team devoted to Grover McConaughey Riley: Boston Terrier influencer.
