Lloyd is a board-certified music therapist and licensed creative arts therapist who believes that the ability to make music is inherent in all people. Prior to becoming a music therapist he played for family audiences all over the country as the leader of the Deedle Deedle Dees, an educational rock band specializing in original songs based on history, science, and folklore. He draws on his experiences as a performing and teaching artist in order to help his clients build confidence, express their feelings, and tell the unique stories of their lives. Much of his work is in school settings with children with disabilities. He also works with senior citizens in memory care and facilitates a rock band program for neurodivergent teenagers.
