Miranda Knutson manages the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music’s over 200 events per year including two galas with over 350 performers, 150 staff, and 2,600 attendees combined. She curates BKCM’s cultural series collaborating with community organizations and corporate sponsors. She manages the events team and runs the rental programming for BKCM’s Concert Hall and Garden Space. She is always interested in connecting with organizations, artists and volunteers who are interested in partnering to create diverse programming that will inspire, entertain, connect and broaden our community. Miranda has been part of the BKCM community since she was 8 years old. She is currently in the Chamber Department as a soprano in two groups. Miranda joined the staff in 2014 and has worn many hats at the Conservatory, including: implementing classes at Head Starts; setting up summer camps; payroll, budgets and billing for the Music Partners and Music Therapy programs; and more. Prior to BKCM, Miranda organized events and productions for a NYC museum and an off-Broadway theater company. Along with her love of music, Miranda is a Historical Cloth-making instructor, Stage Combat choreographer, and Licensed New York City tour guide. Miranda received her B.S. in History at MIT, and her Masters in Medieval History at Kings College London.
