Naomi Itami teaches voice at BKCM. Naomi made her debut as Zerlina under Sir Charles Mackerras at the National Theatre, Prague. Specializing in Mozart roles, she has sung Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro in Belgium (European Opera), Wales (Neath Opera) and the USA, Blondchen in Die Entführung aus dem Serail for Scottish Opera, and Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte at Pavillion Opera and Ludlow Festival, among others. She also performed the role of Lady Thiang in the US tour of the Broadway production of The King and I. Selected recordings include the soubrette roles in Four Oaperettas by Lehar under Sir Richard Bonynge, Tuptim in The King and I for the BBC, and recordings in the Guild of Composers Series for WBAI and WNYC radio stations in New York.

On the concert platform, Naomi has given recitals at Covent Garden Young Artist Series, the Shostakovich Festival with the Borodin String Quartet, as well as concerts at the National Concert Hall, Dublin and the Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors Festival. Naomi has a BA from Columbia University in Music Theory, and MM from Manhattan School of Music.
