Rafael is board certified and licensed creative arts therapist who works with the neurodivergent, those experiencing dementia, and their families. In addition he supervises interns working towards a therapy career. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and a master’s degree in Music Therapy from NYU. Rafael has worked at BKCM since 2016 and is passionate about bringing therapy into the community setting. He sees clients onsite at BKCM as well as in schools and assisted living facilities. His work has appeared in the New York Times and various TV segments. His clinical approach is eclectic and predicated on a belief in the interaction between individual creativity, collaboration, and the healthy processing of experience through music, the body, words, and relationship
