RUTH KLUKOFF teaches Suzuki Early Childhood Education in BKCM’s Suzuki Program and violin at BKCM’s Community Music School. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Indiana University, where she studied with Paul Biss and began her earliest pedagogical studies with Mimi Zweig. Ongoing training has been with Ronda Cole, Edmund Sprunger, Allen Lieb, Lynn McCall, and WanTsai Chen.

Ruth has devoted 25+ years to teaching in St. Petersburg, FL (The Pinellas County School for the Arts @ Gibbs HS, Gulfwinds Montessori, Perkins Elementary School Arts and International Studies) and in NYC/CT (BKCM, The School for Strings, Turtle Bay School of Music, Diller-Quaile School of Music, Greenwich Suzuki Academy) in addition to maintaining a private studio from her home.

Her most cherished performances are those while a member of the orchestra for OperaTampa, under the direction of Maestro Anton Coppola.

Ruth’s summers are now spent teaching and performing with colleagues at Camp Encore/Coda in beautiful Sweden, Maine!

As the Director of Brooklyn Youth Arts and Justice, she is providing collaborative performance opportunities to student musicians as a means for engagement in social initiatives through education, community service, and concert curation.
