Dr. Jentsch is published by the University of Northern Colorado Press and Advance Music. His teaching method emphasizes strong fundamentals through variations on accepted, everyday exercises that build skills. To build and reinforce rapport, these essentials are integrated as much as possible with songs that are of specific interest to the student. With more experienced students, lesson content is targeted to address the student’s weaknesses and interests. Improvisation, theory, and composition are also topics that can be addressed.
