Rene Dennis, pianist, has been working as a soloist and chamber musician since moving to NYC in ’97. She has collaborated with various chamber ensembles as well as performing works by contemporary composers. A versatile musician, she also frequently accompanies instrumentalists and has worked with musical theater groups for a number of years. Classically trained, she earned her Bachelor of Music in performance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as well as her Master of Arts in performance at NYU. Her teachers have included Peter Basquin, Gregory Haimovsky, Dierdre O’Donohue, Fiorella Canin and Esther Lamneck. She has been on the faculty of the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music and Chaminade High School since 2003.
