Ruth Klukoff

Ruth Klukoff joined the Brooklyn Conservatory in 2014, and currently
teaches private lessons, group classes, and beginning theory in the Suzuki
Division. She is a graduate of Indiana University, where she studied with
Paul Biss and James Buswell (chamber music). Additional studies were with
Sally Thomas at Meadowmount. She has received Suzuki Teacher Training with
Ronda Cole, Ed Sprunger, and Allen Lieb (School for Strings). She began
her teaching in 2001 in St. Petersburg, FL where she opened her private
studio, offering private and group classes to students ages 4 through
adult, and providing recitals and community performances throughout the
year. She founded and directed the Summer Strings Summer Camp (2009),
providing young violinists the opportunity to broaden their exposure and
experience reading music and playing in ensembles. She served as adjunct
faculty at Eckerd College and the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at
Gibbs High School, and as a sectional coach for the Pinellas Youth
Symphony. As active freelancer, she performed with OperaTampa, under the
direction of Anton Coppola from 2004-2014.
