Saturday, June 13 • 3pm doors, 4pm show • Bric Celebrate Brooklyn! at the Lena Horne Bandshell
BRIC partners with The Center for Fiction and The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music for an eclectic afternoon of family fun, culture, and music. Talented local musicians from BKCM will provide live musical accompaniment for a bilingual live reading of Katie Yamasaki‘s picture book, Mural Island. Multigenerational crowd-pleaser DJ Marc Bars spins an adventurous mix of pop, hip-hop, and classic party anthems. Godfathers of the Brooklyn Afrobeat scene, Antibalas will get the whole family dancing, closing out the evening with their infectious horn-driven jams.
