Christine Cornell

Soprano Christine Cornell is a dynamic performer and passionate teaching artist in New York City. At the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, she directs the acclaimed Brooklyn Harmonics Vocal Program. Christine loves guiding singers of all ages to find their unique voices while building confidence, musicianship, and community. 

As a performer, Christine’s career spans opera, musical theatre, jazz, and contemporary music. Recent highlights include solo appearances with the Sound Symphony Orchestra, a celebrated performance of Samuel Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915, and musical theatre favorites from My Fair Lady, The Pirates of Penzance, and Gershwin classics. She is currently part of the new musical The Real Kyle McCarren, which recently sold out Joe’s Pub and features Broadway stars Norbert Leo Butz and Kate Baldwin.

Christine has performed on stages across the country and abroad.  Her diverse credits include appearances at Trinity Wall Street, 54 Below, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Gulf Shore Playhouse, the Westport Country Playhouse, the Quick Center, the Times Center, Virginia Opera, Paper Mill Playhouse, and Goodspeed Opera House. 

Whether performing or teaching, Christine brings a deep love of music and theatre to every project. A proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and graduate of Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, she believes that singing is not just about technique, it is about telling stories, connecting with others, and having fun along the way.
