Sharpen your instrumental skills this summer!
This camp is recommended for piano, guitar, strings and voice students who have been taking private lessons for at least two years as well as intermediate and advanced students who have several years of private lesson and ensemble experience. Each day students level up their musicianship skills with ear training and rhythmic concepts through body percussion, drumming and singing.
Students play their instrument and connect with others at their level for a group lesson experience. Students also combine in small groups and compose original pieces and improvisations.
To round out the fun, students take a deep dive into the study of rhythms and grooves from cultures around the world such as Africa, Brazil, the Middle East and beyond. Students also join together in song and learn to develop their harmonizing skills. Each day, students and faculty perform for each other and come home inspired from a fun day of music making and listening to great performances.
