Project Info
Project Description
Playing in an ensemble is essential for young players to learn how to play in-tune, blend with others, and support their sound within a section. This ensemble is open to students who have had one year of experience enrolled in a private lesson or band program on saxophone and clarinet.
Taught by a woodwind specialist, this ensemble supports students to participate in the Brooklyn Band Academy as well as their school band program. Students who join the woodwind ensemble should be able to play one major scale and have some experience reading basic notes and rhythms. To determine if you are ready for the woodwind ensemble please contact the community music school administrative team at cmsadmin@bkcm.org or speak to your private lesson teacher.
Students in the woodwind ensemble are encouraged to join the Brooklyn Band Academy at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
