BKCM’s free Open Stages festival brings live music and performance to more than 15 outdoor stages on stoops, street corners and green spaces across Park Slope. Last year, the fifth annual Open Stages was a resounding success, spreading positive energy and unity throughout Park Slope. The festivities included over 200 paid musicians performing in various locations such as stoops, school lots, parks, gardens and sidewalks, and over 9,000 people attended throughout the afternoon.

This year, Park Slope’s favorite music festival returns on May 9! We are currently accepting inquiries related to partnerships and sponsorships for this one-of-a-kind community event.

Community Testimonials

“I’m really excited about the work that BKCM is doing to bring equity into their programming. Open Stages, really speaks to a diverse audience—whether you’re old or young, there’s something for you to enjoy and experience here. We’re very grateful to BKCM for starting this during Covid and for the community to continue to be able to enjoy it now. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to be building my partnership with BKCM moving forward.” – ANTONIO REYNOSO, BROOKLYN BOROUGH PRESIDENT

“Open Stages arrived when we so urgently needed it—our music, our young people, all this diverse culture and talent all over the neighborhood. It really was soul-restoring to remember our humanity and what we’re about. The diversity of this borough and people’s creativity expressed through music allow all of us to elevate in ways that little else does.”– BRAD LANDER, NYC COMPTROLLER

“The event was a joyous and eclectic jump start to Park Slope’s summer. Customers, fellow business owners, and neighbors felt an energizing optimism that is only possible through live music. When I saw crowds on 5th Avenue jumping up and down, singing along to ‘Gloria,’ my heart was full, and I had more confidence my business would make it through the year. We are very excited to welcome this amazing event back this year.” — BRENDAN BYRNES, OWNER OF THE COMMISSIONER BAR
