The BKCM Studio Collective is a community where musicians can rehearse, connect, and collaborate, with regular Song Shares and networking events that bring artists together throughout the year.
Membership is free and includes access to BKCM’s 17 practice studios in Park Slope, Brooklyn — each home to a Steinway piano — available for $10–20/hour through our online booking platform. Level up to Friend or Star status for additional benefits, including priority booking, discounted rehearsal packages, performance opportunities, and more.
School-Year Studio Rental Hours (September-June):

Summer Studio Rental Hours (July-August):
- Monday-Thursday: 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM
- Friday: 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Studio Rental Policies
- 🎶 Studio use: Our studios are for rehearsal only. Lessons/classes, workshops, photo/film shoots, events, and recording sessions are prohibited.
- 🎹 Studio care: Please restore the space when you leave: close and cover the piano, close the windows, dispose of any trash, and stack music stands and chairs.
- 🚫 Food and drinks: No food or drinks are allowed in the studios except for a water bottle with a lid.
- ❌ Cancellation: You can cancel your booking up to 48h in advance for a credit, which will automatically apply to your account.

No, BKCM does not offer studio rentals on weekends during the academic year due to our educational programming. Limited weekend availability is offered during the summer months.
Members and Friends can book space online up to two weeks in advance. Star members receive priority booking and can book up to three weeks in advance.

No. None of the studios available through the Studio Collective include a drum kit.
