CMS Summer Lesson Registration and Information
Summer Session: July 1 – August 29
Summer Private Lesson registration will open on April 16.
Summer private lessons are available for every major instrument including voice! Drawing from a diverse faculty of world-class musicians and educators, we match each student to a teacher whose approach and experience fit their learning style. Our teachers work with each student and create an individualized curriculum based on students’ goals and interests. Summer lessons are available for ages 6 and up and no audition or experience is required to begin lessons.*

How to Register
Please contact the registration staff at 718-622-3300 to schedule lessons. Registration begins on April 16th and is open throughout the summer. To register for spring semester lessons today, click here.
CMS Summer Private Lesson Tuition & Fees
You can choose to take 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute lessons. Book a package of 5 or more summer lessons to receive 10% off!*
- 30-minute lesson: $98
- 45-minute lesson: $112
- 60-minute lesson: $132
If you are not already registered for CMS lessons or classes this year, there is an additional $50 annual registration fee upon registration, paid once annually.
*Discounts are per student and can only be applied during the summer term. In order for the discount to apply, you must register for a bundle of 5 or more lessons at once. Bundles of 5 or more lessons are subject to teachers’ availability.
Summer Private Lesson Policies
- There are no credits or refunds for private lessons, camps or summer programs. Students may reschedule private lessons until June 30th at 4:30pm, pending availability.
- There are no makeup lessons available for summer private lessons.
- Community Music School summer private lesson students must register for a minimum of 2 lessons.
Financial Aid
The deadline to apply for financial aid for current BKCM students is April 1st. Here is the application to apply for financial aid.
*Financial aid students are not eligible for summer lesson discounts.
**There is no private lesson financial aid available for new students in the summer term.

- Monday to Thursday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Sunday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
