CMS Summer Lesson Registration and Information
Summer Session: July 6 – August 29
Summer private lessons are available for every major instrument including voice! Drawing from a diverse faculty of world-class musicians and educators, we match each student to a teacher whose approach and experience fit their learning style. Our teachers work with each student and create an individualized curriculum based on students’ goals and interests. Summer lessons are available for ages 6 and up and no audition or experience is required to begin lessons.*

How to Register
Community Music School Summer Private Lessons Registration
Registration for summer 2026 private lessons will open April 29th and is open throughout the summer. You can choose to take 30-minute, 45-minute or 60-minute lessons. Please call 718-622-3300 to register for the summer term.

- 30 minute lesson $106
- 45 minute lesson $120
- 60 minute lesson $138

Registration Fees
$55 Registration Fee – The registration fee is an administrative fee charged once per family per school year upon registration.
Summer Private Lesson Policies
- Payment Plans are not available for Summer Private Lessons.
- There are no credits or refunds for private lessons, camps or summer programs.
- Lesson times are subject to teacher availability.
- Students may reschedule summer private lessons until June 30th at 4:30pm, pending availability. After June 30th, no rescheduling is allowed during the summer term.
- There are no makeup lessons available for summer private lessons.
Summer Financial Aid
There is no financial aid available for new Private Lesson summer students, but financial aid is available for summer camps and the 2026-27 school year.
Summer Hours
- Monday to Thursday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
