Suzuki Summer Private Lessons
Suzuki summer lessons are open to all students currently enrolled in the BKCM Suzuki program. Registration begins in April 2026.
Music Therapy Summer Semester
Our Music Therapy program offers a six-week summer semester. Music Therapy students meet with their music therapist once a week. If you have questions about on-site Music Therapy at BKCM’s home in Park Slope, please visit the link below or contact marie.lewis@bkcm.org.

Summer Jazz Camp
Ages 10-17 • July 6-10 & 13-17
Letʼs jam and improvise! Students of all instruments and experience levels are invited to heat up their jazz and improvisation skills at BKCM this summer through small-group sessions and masterclasses with top-notch faculty.
Summer Music Camp
Ages 8-14 • August 3-7
Sharpen your instrumental skills this summer! Open to piano, guitar and voice students who have been taking private lessons for at least one year as well as intermediate and advanced students who have several years of private lesson experience.
Piano Explorers Camp
Ages: 5-7 (Rising Kindergartners-Rising 2nd Graders) • August 10-14 & August 17-21
Head to the keys this summer with our popular Piano Explorers Camp—a fun, interactive camp that focuses on learning piano, developing musicianship and making friends. Open to beginners and students with experience.
BKCM Band Camp
Ages 10-15 • July 20-24
School’s out, but this camp keeps the music going! Woodwinds, brass and percussion students come together to make a joyous sound, performing wind band selections and hits from around the globe.
Suzuki Summer Camp
Ages 5-11 • July 27-31
Suzuki bowed strings, flute, guitar and piano students polish their technique, musicality, and tone while having fun and expanding their understanding of the world of music. Dedicated, world-class Suzuki-trained faculty work with them one-on-one and in group classes.
Summer Chamber Workshop
Ages 12-Adult • August 24-28
Explore the joys of playing chamber music. All instruments are welcome! Perform in chamber groups, attend workshops and take semi-private lessons.
Jazz Lab Summer Intensive (Adults)
July 6-10 & July 13-17
Adults | In this week-long, small-group ensemble, jazz musicians of all skill levels have the opportunity to collaborate, improvise, rehearse and develop confidence for public performance.

Summer Hours
During the summer session, BKCM’s building and garden are open during the following hours:
- Sunday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Tuition & Fees
Tuition for each summer camp or program is listed on its individual page above.
$50 Registration Fee
The registration fee is an administrative fee charged once per family per school year upon registration.
- Refunds or credits are not available for private lessons, camps or summer programs.
- All registrations for summer programs and camps are final and there are no withdrawals.
- Private lesson students have until June 30th to make any changes to their private lesson schedule.
- There are no makeup lessons available for summer private lessons.
- Community Music School summer Private Lesson students must register for a minimum of 2 lessons.
- Suzuki summer lessons are only open to students currently enrolled in the BKCM Suzuki program. Suzuki beginners who are planning to start in Fall 2025 are not eligible for 2025 Summer Suzuki private lessons, but may sign up for summer Suzuki Early Childhood Education.
